In the 4th minute Diego Orain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Chico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind boca juniors FC's goalkeeper Juan Chico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego Orain was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Salto FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Juan Chico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Orain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Chico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Orain in the 19th minute of play. Adan Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Juan Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adan Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, boca juniors FC's Juan Chico got control of the ball when Adan Casado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juan Chico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Orain, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Juan Chico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Orain in the 33rd minute of the match. Juan Chico made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Adan Casado sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristobal Sengrat was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Bastia hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Salto FC's goalkeeper Cristo Lluterio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristobal Sengrat. The audience was convinced that Diego Orain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Chico was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. If Diego Orain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Orain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Denis Lertxun took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Chico. Juan Chico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Casado in the 76th minute of play forced boca juniors FC's goalkeeper Juan Chico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Diego Orain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Chico was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Juan Chico came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Salto FC's Diego Orain. But to his dismay, Diego Orain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Diego Orain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Juan Chico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. boca juniors FC's Juan Chico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Orain in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the boca juniors FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Salto FC.
