But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Romero couldn't finish the play. In the 9th match minute, Mojón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Nardo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasio Florinio in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paolo Bordat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delmar Ezkerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Braulio Lon struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Anastasio Gudesteo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Correa. Anastasio Florinio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paolo Bordat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Paolo Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Romero in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Ezkerra during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Correa's Delmar Ezkerra got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Paolo Bordat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Florinio in the 35th minute of the match. After 41 minutes, Hector Nardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mojón and the Correa players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Damian Romero sped through Correa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paolo Bordat. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Florinio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Correa's zone, Damian Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paolo Bordat came out of the goal and Damian Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anastasio Florinio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Correa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! Anastasio Florinio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paolo Bordat came out and tried to block the shot, but Anastasio Florinio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 63rd minute. Damian Romeros short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Paolo Bordat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Braulio Lon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anastasio Florinio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Paolo Bordat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paolo Bordat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th minute Anastasio Florinio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Bordat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Leonardo Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Correa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mojón the free kick. After 80 played minutes Correa got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Barros. In the 86th minute of the match, Anastasio Florinio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paolo Bordat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 88 minutes in the game, Damian Romero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Paolo Bordat having to interfere. Anastasio Florinio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Bordat having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Hector Nardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
