Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elvio Gilen kicked off to start the match. Estrella Federal's Guaberto Socorro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Gilen in the 5th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Estrella Federal got a freekick which was hit by Juan Torres. Guaberto Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Gilen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Los Piratas's Edelmiro Gumaro got control of the ball when Ciro Francesco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Los Piratas booed when Estrella Federal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Anier Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Gumaro having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Juan Torres reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edelmiro Gumaro. The goal made the score 2-0. A hard shot by Miguel Kiliz from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Edelmiro Gumaro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Juan Torres came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Estrella Federal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Torres couldn't finish the play. Cecilio Laurgain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute of the match, Juan Torres tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edelmiro Gumaro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Guaberto Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Gilen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edelmiro Gumaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Bastian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Los Piratas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estrella Federal the free kick. In the 47th minute, Osvaldo Bastian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Juan Torres made the kick off in the second half. Juan Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edelmiro Gumaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Anier Demesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elvio Gilen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Guaberto Socorro came out and tried to block the shot, but Elvio Gilen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 61st minute. Guaberto Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Gilen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Laurgain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Edelmiro Gumaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Elvio Gilen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Piratas's supporters rose to their feet, but Elvio Gilen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Socorro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edelmiro Gumaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Celio got free with Guaberto Socorro in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ciro Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Cecilio Laurgain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Piratas's Edelmiro Gumaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guaberto Socorro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Celio in the 91st minute. Elvio Gilen struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Guaberto Socorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Piratas. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Rogelio Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrella Federal's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Geofredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Gumaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Estrella Federal walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
