Arnulfo Lehoi made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Florentino Pacho sent off a good shot on target. Silverio Jusepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Ospin, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Chañar's Arnulfo Lehoi got control of the ball when Florentino Pacho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Urtats kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Chañar's Arnulfo Lehoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Florinio in the 15th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Tobias Leizarraga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chañar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matorrales FC the free kick. In the 16th minute, Tobias Leizarraga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matorrales FC's Florentino Pacho got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chañar's Esteban Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Florinio to make the kick off. Filomeno Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Urtats charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Urtats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Chañar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Urtats to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Phelipe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Chañar's Filomeno Theobald got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silverio Jusepe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filomeno Theobald showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. A collision led to Chañar getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Orlando Urtats hit a great ball. Gabriel Florinio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Arnulfo Lehoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Florinio in the 72nd minute of play forced Chañar's goalkeeper Arnulfo Lehoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Florinio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes of play, Chañar's Esteban Ospin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Jusepe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filomeno Theobald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Ospin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silverio Jusepe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Gabriel Florinio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matorrales FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Esteban Ospin scored to the left of an out of position Silverio Jusepe, making the score, 0-3. After 96 minutes of play Chañar's Tobias Leizarraga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Chañar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chañar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
