Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) RACING CLUB's Octavio Criston started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabian Guillelmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Criston in the 9th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, David Osoitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Severino Urdaspal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zeledon Lastur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Urdaspal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Zeledon Lastur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Lastur in the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, RACING CLUB's Filiberto Chico got a free kick in the 25th minute. Fabian Guillelmus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Criston's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute, Zeledon Lastur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arboledas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, RACING CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when David Osoitz came free, but Severino Urdaspal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Arboledas's Fabian Guillelmus got control of the ball when Mariano Eguntsenti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Eguntsenti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 47 minutes, David Osoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arboledas's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Osoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Lastur made a kick off. If David Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RACING CLUB's Severino Urdaspal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Lastur in the 56th minute of play. David Osoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Severino Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Urdaspal made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Osoitz in the 64th minute. When Zeledon Lastur came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Arboledas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Lastur couldn't finish the play. After 69 played minutes RACING CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Azevedo. Zeledon Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When David Osoitz came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Arboledas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Osoitz couldn't finish the play. If Zeledon Lastur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Osoitz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Severino Urdaspal made a huge save. Zeledon Lastur struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Severino Urdaspal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arboledas. In the 86th minute, David Osoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If David Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octavio Criston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mariano Eguntsenti came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the RACING CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Eguntsenti couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arboledas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
