Edgardo Milian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Veremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Milian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Crescencio in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Jacinto Crescencio made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Milian. Yatay AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Apolo Jordy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hernan Giro, 1-2. Severiano Erdiano charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Erdiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Severiano Erdiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Jordy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hernan Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Giro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Ponc in the 41st minute. Severiano Erdiano got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, H.Quintana's Severiano Erdiano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Yatay AFC were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after H.Quintana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ramiro Ederono took the corner. Ramiro Ederono made a great header on Yatay AFC's corner, it was just that H.Quintana's Hernan Giro managed to reach the ball for a save. After 46 played minutes Ramiro Ederono shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for H.Quintana's Hernan Giro to catch but Ramiro Ederono was lucky. It became 2-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 81st match minute, Yatay AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Ignado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Jordy in the 86th minute of play forced H.Quintana's goalkeeper Hernan Giro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apolo Jordy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hernan Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. H.Quintana's Hernan Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ponc in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Yatay AFC had won after a very even match.
