Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Clementi started the match with the kick off. Jose Romildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Fernan Vermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fermin Aznar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernan Vermudo having to make a save. Maguire's Fernan Vermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Henry in the 14th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Isidoro Henry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maguire's Fernan Vermudo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Maguire's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Aznar came free, but Fernan Vermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Daniel Clementi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernan Vermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Aznar in the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Maguire's zone, Isidoro Henry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Vermudo came out of the goal and Isidoro Henry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fermin Aznar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Aznar in the 28th minute of play forced Maguire's goalkeeper Fernan Vermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Banfield AFC's Jose Romildo pulled a muscle in his leg after 29 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Clementi during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Maguire getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Daniel Clementi hit a great ball. Isidoro Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Isidoro Henry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernan Vermudo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Maguire's Fernan Montrelle got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Banfield AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isidoro Henry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Banfield AFC's Isidoro Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Banfield AFC's Fermin Aznar got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Atilano Galsino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Vermudo having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maguire fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Isidoro Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Clementi ran back to his position shaking his head. After 80 minutes, Isidoro Henry made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Maguire's Fernan Vermudo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Banfield AFC's Isidoro Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Isidoro Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Maguire booed when Banfield AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Hartz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Maguire's Fernan Vermudo got control of the ball when Isidoro Henry tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Maguire supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Banfield AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Banfield AFC.
