Apolo Bautista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Bihar in the 3rd minute of the match. Mauricio Bermund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Nuxila in the 7th minute. Celso Lizbeth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Mauricio Bermund made a huge save. Benigno Bihar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Apolo Bautista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Amado Mendez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Apolo Bautista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Lizbeth came free, but Mauricio Bermund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Bautista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Macerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Celso Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes C.A.BOCA JUNIORS got a freekick which was hit by Amado Mendez. A collision led to Sheffer F.C. getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Guillermo Nuxila hit a great ball. Benigno Bihar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Bautista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's Mauricio Bermund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Lizbeth in the 39th minute of play. When Nicanor Eleazar fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's protests and gave Nicanor Eleazar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, C.A.BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Eleazar to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Celso Lizbeth dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mauricio Bermund, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benigno Bihar to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Celso Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sheffer F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Lizbeth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Celso Lizbeth sped through C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauricio Bermund. The supporters of Sheffer F.C. booed when C.A.BOCA JUNIORS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Eleazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Acosta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Bermund. C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to C.A.BOCA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nicanor Eleazar hit a great ball. Melchor Gaueko's late challenge caught a Sheffer F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchor Gaueko helped the player get up and apologised. Melchor Gaueko hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Celso Lizbeth came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Sheffer F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Lizbeth couldn't finish the play. Amado Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Guillermo Nuxila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Bermund having to interfere. If Celso Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rdth minute of the game Guillermo Nuxila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's Mauricio Bermund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th match minute, C.A.BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Eleazar to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Nuxila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Celso Lizbeth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffer F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Lizbeth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Bermund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
