Santiago Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Elia having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Tobar's Adan Blanco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eleuterio Elia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Blanco in the 11th minute of play forced Salinas's goalkeeper Eleuterio Elia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceferino Orlondon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eleuterio Elia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Elia having to interfere. The Salinas fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Salinas's Leopoldo Beti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juan Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Beti, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Eleuterio Elia didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The long shot by Domingo Paul in the 32nd minute really tested Eleuterio Elia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Santiago Burutzagi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Eleuterio Elia made a huge save. Adan Blanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eleuterio Elia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Salinas's zone, Adan Blanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Elia came out of the goal and Adan Blanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Gerazan in the 45th minute of the match. Salinas were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Tobar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oscar Peyo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Oscar Peyo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juan Sayvion quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adan Blanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santiago Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Elia having to interfere. Uriel Otsoa charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uriel Otsoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tobar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! In the 72nd minute, Santiago Burutzagi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute Adan Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Elia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Tobar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Otsoa to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Salinas's Oscar Peyo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juan Sayvion came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Salinas reached it. Ceferino Orlondon's late challenge caught a Salinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Orlondon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tobar getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ceferino Orlondon hit a great ball. Juan Sayvion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eleuterio Gerazan in the 85th minute. Eleuterio Gerazan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Sayvion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Salinas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
