A collision led to Ayapaso FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rolando Froila hit a great ball. Mauro Montes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, Camilo Maiorga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malleo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayapaso FC the free kick. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Ayapaso FC. Ramon Tirso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Salamon. 1-0. Erubiel Miliano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Salamon having to make a save. Erubiel Miliano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Salamon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Ekhi in the 26th minute of play forced Ayapaso FC's goalkeeper Paulo Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Americo Lucila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolo Ekhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Godoy having to interfere. Paulo Godoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Americo Lucila was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Ayapaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Lucila came free, but Paulo Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Malleo defense, Erubiel Miliano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Salamon. The Malleo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Salamon should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ayapaso FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. David Camerino hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the game, Americo Lucila recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Godoy. Americo Lucila showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Bartolo Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes of play, Ayapaso FC's Remigio Ferrando made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Salamon was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Camerino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ayapaso FC's David Camerino has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 77th minute. David Camerino's late challenge caught a Malleo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Camerino helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Ayapaso FC got a freekick which was hit by David Camerino. Malleo were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Ayapaso FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Camilo Maiorga took the corner. The corner led Malleo's Camilo Maiorga to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Godoy despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paulo Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Lucila in the 89th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, Malleo's Bartolo Ekhi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Godoy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee ended the match the Ayapaso FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
