In the 15th minute, Sixto Inguma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeo Menendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Gaitano in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Jenaro during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cangrejillos RN9 booed when Ceballos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Jenaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Cangrejillos RN9's Tiburcio Bibiano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeo Menendo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cornelio Belasko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Isaias Evis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangrejillos RN9's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaias Evis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Menendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Sergio Sidro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ceballos FC's Tadeo Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Gaitano in the 94th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
