In the 6th minute Everardo Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Berdaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Everardo Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ariel Oihan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marciano Berdaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Francho scored 1-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marciano Berdaitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marciano Berdaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Oihan in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ariel Oihan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marciano Berdaitz came out of the goal and Ariel Oihan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marciano Berdaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Gorbea in the 64th minute of the match. Chumbicha FC's Marciano Berdaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Oihan in the 65th minute of play. When Ariel Oihan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Unione Sportiva Lecce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Oihan couldn't finish the play.
