If Honorio Asier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Morenillo's goalkeeper Enrique Seme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Asier. Enrique Seme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorio Asier went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Enrique Seme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Francesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Higuerita fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Honorato Pierres walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. Morenillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Higuerita the free kick. 67 minutes into the game, one of Morenillo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Morenillo:s Enrique Seme showed great skill when he stopped Laureano Vergaray:s penalty. Honorato Pierres was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 71 minutes into the match. If Antonio Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Higuerita fans cheered their team off the field, for while Morenillo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
