In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind El semental criollo's goalkeeper Teodosio Constancio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mauricio Garaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Constancio having to interfere. Crazymouth's Isaias Ferdinand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Rodriguez in the 26th minute of play. The referee ignored Crazymouth's protests and gave Roque Bero a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of El semental criollo booed when Crazymouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Bero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Omero kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Nestor Manny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauricio Garaona to strike the kick off in the second half. The El semental criollo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Crazymouth had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
