In the 19th minute Anier Dalmau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ojeda booed when CSyD Tres de Azúcar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CSyD Tres de Azúcar's Ladislao Jerrold got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Anier Dalmau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Lucero kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Atilano Nel struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Dionisio Javiero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ojeda. After a rather tough play, CSyD Tres de Azúcar's Alfonso Llanos got a free kick in the 37th minute. Anier Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Javiero having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Ojeda got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Mazuste. Fulgencio Tonio, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anier Dalmau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ojeda's Paulo Honrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Montrel in the 51st minute of play. Ladislao Jerrold struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Paulo Honrio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSyD Tres de Azúcar. In the 61st minute, Angelo Peru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Anier Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ojeda's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Dalmau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionisio Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Nel got free with Dionisio Javiero in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ojeda's Mauricio Bidun got a free kick in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Jerrold in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Honrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anier Dalmau was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Jonathan Sanduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, CSyD Tres de Azúcar's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Atilano Nel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Ojeda players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CSyD Tres de Azúcar from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
