In the 6th minute Alonzo Sarracino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Fernado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Andacollo's zone, Alonzo Sarracino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Fernado came out of the goal and Alonzo Sarracino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rogelio Fernado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Sarracino's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Andacollo's Rogelio Fernado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Andacollo from getting a goal against them. If Miguel Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andacollo's Rogelio Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Sarracino in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Andacollo's Urbano Gines got a free kick in the 24th minute. Rogelio Fernado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Min in the 28th minute. With an all-out effort, Chachapoyas's Rogelio Fernado threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alonzo Sarracino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Horacio Prejun came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Andacollo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Prejun couldn't finish the play. Horacio Prejun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Figueroa having to interfere.
