The audience was convinced that Igor Rutenio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Satordi was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Placido Dodorol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Emenon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, Niquivil AFC's Miguel Emenon made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pilar AFC's Placido Dodorol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Emenon in the 34th minute of play. Santo Ignatius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Placido Dodorol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natalio Efraim's late challenge caught a Niquivil AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natalio Efraim helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pilar AFC's Natalio Efraim got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Rutenio made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Niquivil AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Caetano came free, but Gustavo Satordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, one of Niquivil AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Pilar AFC a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Inocencio Giraldo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Niquivil AFC's Gustavo Satordi. 1-3. In the 58th minute, Reynaldo Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pilar AFC's goalkeeper Placido Dodorol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Miguel Emenon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Ignatius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Dodorol having to interfere. Placido Dodorol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Emenon in the 68th minute of the match. If Santo Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Niquivil AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Caetano came free, but Gustavo Satordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Caetano scored 2-3 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Satordi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Niquivil AFC's Gustavo Satordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Caetano in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute Igor Rutenio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Satordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Ignatius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Placido Dodorol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Placido Dodorol went to the wrong direction when Silvano Odon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Pilar AFC's Placido Dodorol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 101st minute of the match, managed to save Pilar AFC from getting a goal against them.
