The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The tension between the Montefiore and the Saguier AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Montefiore! The goalkeeper, Bruno Astigar, was totally fooled by Saguier AFC's Osvaldo Jacindo, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Edelmiro Aritza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Montefiore's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Oxarra came free, but Bruno Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Edelmiro Guzman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Saguier AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Tanio to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes in the game, Filiberto Orzaize fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bruno Astigar having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Fermin Oxarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saguier AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Oxarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Astigar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agustin Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 played minutes Fermin Oxarra rounded Montefiore's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Agustin Panfilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saguier AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Panfilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Saguier AFC booed when Montefiore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Fermin Oxarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saguier AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Oxarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Astigar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustin Panfilo in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Astigar saved Montefiore from getting behind. Saguier AFC's Edelmiro Guzman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Saguier AFC from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the match, Montefiore's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Panfilo came free, but Bruno Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montefiore's goalkeeper Bruno Astigar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Saguier AFC fully deserved thier win.
