Banfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Oliverios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ladislao Elorri prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Oliverios to make the kick off.
