Inocencio Abad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Braulio Markel. Apuyaco FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Andres Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximiliano Oliverios charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Oliverios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Weterio in the 40th minute of play forced Esquina FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Bilbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Apuyaco FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Maximo Maldonado hit a great ball. If Carolo Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Candido Weterio to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Candido Weterio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apuyaco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Candido Weterio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Lino Ezkerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Markel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Weterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Ezkerra took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Braulio Markel. Braulio Markel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquina FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Bilbo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicanor Sergi kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Primitivo Indar fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apuyaco FC's protests and gave Primitivo Indar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Apuyaco FC's Primitivo Indar got a free kick in the 74th minute. Braulio Markel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Ezkerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carolo Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. Esquina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Eufrasio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Eduardo Bilbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Candido Weterio in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Bilbo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Carolo Lohitzun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lino Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Bilbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Weterio in the 96th minute of the match. Esquina FC played a much better game than Apuyaco FC and deserved their victory. The Apuyaco FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
