Rinconadillas FC's Cristian Fernandes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Rinconadillas FC from getting a goal against them. Victorio Piearres struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fabian Libertad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rinconadillas FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto Veremundo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Fernandes saved Rinconadillas FC from getting behind. Leoni AFC's Fabian Libertad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Baldovino in the 19th minute of play. Cristian Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Veremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blas Ekhi's late challenge caught a Leoni AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Ekhi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rinconadillas FC booed when Leoni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Benigno Miliano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabian Libertad skillfully saved the ball. Fabian Libertad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Piearres's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rinconadillas FC's zone, Teobaldo Manny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Fernandes came out of the goal and Teobaldo Manny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teobaldo Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cristian Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorio Piearres made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, Rinconadillas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Lorencio to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Libertad came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rinconadillas FC's Dionisio Baldovino. But to his dismay, Dionisio Baldovino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dionisio Baldovino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Rinconadillas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Milio to maneuver through the defense. When Teobaldo Manny fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leoni AFC's protests and gave Teobaldo Manny a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leoni AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Teobaldo Manny hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Norberto Veremundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rinconadillas FC booed when Leoni AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Perutxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teobaldo Manny blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Fernandes having to make a save. In the 84th minute, Aaron Salvadore had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Santiago Lorencio's late challenge caught a Leoni AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Lorencio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Santiago Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rinconadillas FC's Cristian Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Manny in the 87th minute of play. Norberto Veremundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Fernandes having to interfere. Teobaldo Manny struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Cristian Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leoni AFC. Feliberto Ignado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Ekhi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Fabian Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Piearres in the 96th minute of play. Fabian Libertad made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Dionisio Baldovino sent off a good shot on target. The Rinconadillas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rinconadillas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
