Erubiel Bizi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Aaron Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Evelio Chayo fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durañona's protests and gave Evelio Chayo a yellow card for diving instead. Evelio Chayo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Durañona's zone, Erubiel Bizi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Weterio came out of the goal and Erubiel Bizi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiberto Igon struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Aaron Weterio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumamao FC. Durañona's Celestino Crispo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baldomiro Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ladislao Eskuin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeo Torres during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Tadeo Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Durañona booed when Sumamao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Lluterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Elixio's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Ladislao Eskuin on his right side and into the goal. 27 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Severiano Lluterio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Aaron Weterio made a huge save. After 33 played minutes Durañona got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Sidro. Aaron Weterio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erubiel Bizi in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erubiel Bizi got free with Aaron Weterio in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erubiel Bizi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Aaron Weterio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumamao FC. Gustavo Rico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aaron Weterio having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erubiel Bizi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ladislao Eskuin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Crispo in the 51st minute of play. Aaron Weterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Rico went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sumamao FC's Robustiano Ordono got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Erubiel Bizi came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sumamao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Bizi couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Celestino Crispo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Everardo Hunfredo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 94thth minute of the game Celestino Crispo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sumamao FC's Ladislao Eskuin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ladislao Eskuin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Crispo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Durañona had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
