Ladislao Eskuin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Abastas in the 15th minute of play. Filiberto Igon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejandro Mark having to interfere. Sumamao FC's Ladislao Eskuin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Abastas in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sumamao FC's goalkeeper Ladislao Eskuin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ladislao Eskuin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Emeterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes, Tadeo Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sumamao FC and the Tambillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Sumamao FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Torres. Alejandro Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiberto Igon in the 46th minute of play. Erubiel Bizi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 48th playminute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Sumamao FC booed when Tambillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Erubiel Bizi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejandro Mark was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
