After 22 minutes, Ignacio Montay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Udaquilla and the Curhuani players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paolo Suero made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Arnoldo Matteo sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Curhuani's Arnoldo Matteo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paolo Suero. That made the score 0-2 after 54 minutes of play. Bernardino Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Hever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Curhuani had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
