Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anibal Valentine got the match started through his kick off. Benjamin Osoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fidel Marz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Benjamin Osoro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bartolo Haimar came out and tried to block the shot, but Benjamin Osoro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Mixto's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Sabin came free, but Filomeno Vimaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Nerio kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Anibal Selmo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filomeno Vimaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Filomeno Vimaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Valentine in the 35th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Valentine. Filomeno Vimaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Sabin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Anibal Valentine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Bartolo Haimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Gerazan in the 54th minute of the match. Cayetano Sabin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Vimaro having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Lanús's Cayetano Sabin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filomeno Vimaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santiago Gerazan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Haimar having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Mannie to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Valentine might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Vimaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anibal Valentine ran back to his position shaking his head. Filomeno Vimaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Sabin in the 75th minute. Anibal Valentine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Filomeno Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cayetano Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Anibal Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanús's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Valentine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Vimaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mixto's goalkeeper Filomeno Vimaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mixto's Honorio Montrel got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Cayetano Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorio Montrel during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lanús booed when Mixto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Montrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mixto could leave the field as winners, despite Lanús having more of the ball for most of the match.
