After 5 played minutes Picapiedras F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Mede. A collision led to Picapiedras F.C. getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Javier Boni hit a great ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Gilberto Elixio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Axelgaqu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Elixio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nunez Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Delmar Chepe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Banegas having to make a save. Fabricio Mede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isaias Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Sabin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Marcelino Banegas managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Axelgaqu's Delmar Chepe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Delmar Chepe struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Marcelino Banegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Axelgaqu. When Delmar Chepe came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Axelgaqu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmar Chepe couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Picapiedras F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Chepe came free, but Marcelino Banegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Delmar Chepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Godofredo Goizeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Delmar Chepe made the kick off in the second half. Marcelino Banegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Chepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmar Chepe in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Banegas saved Picapiedras F.C. from getting behind. Marcelino Banegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmar Chepe went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Nunez Abecia took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelino Banegas. Marcelino Banegas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Picapiedras F.C.'s Marcelino Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Chepe in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Abecia in the 85th minute of play forced Picapiedras F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcelino Banegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Elixio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Delmar Chepe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Axelgaqu's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Chepe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Banegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Delmar Chepe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Axelgaqu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmar Chepe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Axelgaqu booed when Picapiedras F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delmar Chepe in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Banegas saved Picapiedras F.C. from getting behind. Axelgaqu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
