Honorio Bras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 5th minute, Edelmiro Aragones left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Byron Bay City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Sportivo los vascos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Larra to maneuver through the defense. Christian Enol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Cordearo having to interfere. Sportivo los vascos's Gilberto Herauso got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Bras took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Cordearo. Zacarias Cordearo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Joaquin Guipuzkoa lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 34th minute, one of Byron Bay City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Byron Bay City. The referee gave Sportivo los vascos a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leandro Basualdo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Byron Bay City's Alsan Koehler. 2-1.

When Christian Enol came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Byron Bay City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Enol couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Byron Bay City's zone, Gilberto Herauso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alsan Koehler came out of the goal and Gilberto Herauso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zacarias Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honorio Bras hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Zacarias Cordearo came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Byron Bay City's Ismael Soin. But to his dismay, Ismael Soin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Honorio Bras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Lucado during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Sportivo los vascos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Lucado to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Honorio Bras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Byron Bay City's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Bras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sportivo los vascos booed when Byron Bay City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Bras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
