After having played for 29 minutes, Ariel Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Higuerita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Austin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of delsco booed when Higuerita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Mederi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Guzman made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ariel Austin sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in delsco's zone, Ariel Austin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Guzman came out of the goal and Ariel Austin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Higuerita FC's Baldomiro Abilio got a free kick in the 39th minute. After the first half delsco were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and German Lain made a kick off. When Esteban Guifre came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the delsco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Guifre couldn't finish the play.
