Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Maltide's Vinicio Oxel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivan Osoro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Osoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Maltide booed when Mascota AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Maltide's Eustacio Ubendu tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Eulalio Rodriguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Umbruso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Mascota AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Danel to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Maltide's Eustacio Ubendu tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vinicio Oxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeo Quinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Oxel in the 22nd minute of play. Gabriel Quilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Ekain having to interfere. Nunez Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Quilo in the 31st minute of play. Mascota AFC's Amadeo Quinton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Mascota AFC from getting a goal against them. Vinicio Oxel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Quinton having to make a save. Nunez Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Quilo in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Lehior stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Mascota AFC's Gabriel Quilo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nunez Ekain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 62nd minute, Ivan Osoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dalmacio Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Quinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Oxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justino Nastasio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Maltide's Eustacio Ubendu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vinicio Oxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Amadeo Quinton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mascota AFC's Ulises Danel got a free kick in the 76th minute. With a little luck, Maltide's Nunez Ekain got control of the ball when Gabriel Quilo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, Vinicio Oxel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maltide fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Maltide were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Mascota AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
