The referee ignored Andalhualá AFC's protests and gave Hermengildo Alfonso a yellow card for diving instead. Hermengildo Alfonso kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Pablo Venerando's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inocencio Lucado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL booed when Andalhualá AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Donzel scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inocencio Lucado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Venerando in the 42nd minute of play forced Andalhualá AFC's goalkeeper Inocencio Lucado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pablo Venerando made a kick off. A collision led to Andalhualá AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Silvestre Jerold hit a great ball. LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's Pablo Venerando got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54th play minutes Pablo Venerando shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Inocencio Lucado and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 57th minute Pablo Venerando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Lucado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Venerando in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inocencio Lucado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Mendebal charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Mendebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Andalhualá AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Mendebal to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute Osvaldo Donzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Lucado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Lekubegi hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Luisito Mercurio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's Rogelio Luzea didn't even have to move. Eugenio Lekubegi's late challenge caught a Andalhualá AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Lekubegi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL's Eugenio Lekubegi got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Osvaldo Donzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Lucado having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Osvaldo Donzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Lucado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inocencio Lucado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Venerando in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. LA GUARDIA IMPERIAL fully deserved thier win.
