The crowd rose to their feet as Romeo Pacorro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bass Van Eeckhout. That made the score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. Luciano Maiorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Luisito Iturri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Academia Solchu F.C.'s Delmiro Beila seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Delmiro Beila the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Academia Solchu F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Delmiro Beila had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Academia Solchu F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ostende F.C:s goal. The Academia Solchu F.C. manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Ostende F.C to win.
