After a rather tough play, Empalme's Esteban Mogel got a free kick in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Empalme's Saul Txaran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Confesor. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. The supporters of El Rosita exAP booed when Empalme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Confesor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Txaran in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, El Rosita exAP's goalkeeper Julio Confesor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Mogel. 25 minutes into the match, El Rosita exAP's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Venceslao came free, but Julio Confesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saul Txaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Julio Confesor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Confesor came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Empalme's Mauro Meder. But to his dismay, Mauro Meder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Humberto Eneto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, El Rosita exAP's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Txaran came free, but Julio Confesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Serafino Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Telmo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Camilo Blanco. Empalme's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Empalme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Lopes to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
