Timoteo Frederik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Haritz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geronimo Lluis in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute Romeo Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Haritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Cidro's late challenge caught a Ramirez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Cidro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Retamal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Cidro to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match Mauricio Aresti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Haritz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Retamal defense, Romeo Richie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Haritz. The Retamal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Haritz should have stopped the shot. Timoteo Frederik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Sanson having to make a save. Zacarias Sanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Frederik, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Geronimo Lluis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias Sanson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Incendio, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timoteo Frederik was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Lluis in the 58th minute of play forced Retamal's goalkeeper Fernando Haritz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Timoteo Frederik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Retamal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ramirez the free kick. After a rather tough play, Retamal's Timoteo Frederik got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Romeo Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Romeo Richie came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ramirez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Richie couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Israel Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Haritz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 78th minute Romeo Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Haritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Retamal's zone, Romeo Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Haritz came out of the goal and Romeo Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramirez's Geronimo Lluis got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Timoteo Frederik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Zacarias Sanson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
