Gilberto Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Henric having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 39th minute when Rogelio Fliz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Infierno FC booed when Progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position.
