If Arnoldo Weather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Chacarita Juniors's Dionisio Chaime in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yocán AFC's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Chacarita Juniors's Rigoberto Baumar got control of the ball when Arnoldo Weather tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cesar Ovando charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesar Ovando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yocán AFC's Remigio Quirce got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Arnoldo Weather came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Yocán AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Weather couldn't finish the play. If Arnoldo Weather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dionisio Chaime came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Chacarita Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Chaime couldn't finish the play. Dionisio Chaime sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Arnoldo Weather made the kick off in the second half. Isaias Quinito charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaias Quinito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Yocán AFC's Isaias Quinito got a free kick in the 54th minute. With 58 minutes on the clock, Ildefonso Ospetsu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Yocán AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chacarita Juniors:s goal. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Chacarita Juniors. Dave Cirigliano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aureliano Vargas. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gabriel Guillelme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacarita Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Guillelme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureliano Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejandro Corderun charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chacarita Juniors had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
