The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Haimar during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Haimar. Armando Feo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Balendin in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, PuntinazoRabioso's Alejo Balendin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armando Feo. Armando Feo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After having played for 32 minutes, Alejo Balendin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PuntinazoRabioso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Balendin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 minutes, Horacio Lorien made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. PuntinazoRabioso's Flavio Mazuste tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Libertad FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hermengildo Hitz hit a great ball. If Domingo Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Lorien might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Mazuste. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horacio Lorien ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alejo Balendin made a kick off. After 51 played minutes PuntinazoRabioso got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Boniel. Armando Feo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Balendin in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Perico in the 58th minute of play forced Libertad FC's goalkeeper Armando Feo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Arnulfo Boniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. PuntinazoRabioso's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Boniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Feo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 65 played minutes Libertad FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Millano. A collision led to Libertad FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Carmelo Baladi hit a great ball. Alejo Balendin, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Alejo Balendin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Armando Feo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Libertad FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Timoteo Urritz hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Alejo Balendin sped through Libertad FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armando Feo. After a defensive mix-up in Libertad FC's zone, Alejo Balendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Feo came out of the goal and Alejo Balendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Arnulfo Boniel had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. PuntinazoRabioso's Melquiades Frichoso was substituted for Arnulfo Boniel. Libertad FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
