The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Bero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Adolfo Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Los últimos con chispa's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Bero came free, but Adolfo Lucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Rodrigo Bero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Bero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Lucero having to interfere. Adolfo Lucero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Rodrigo Bero might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Lucero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Bero ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Bero to make the kick off. With a little luck, Los últimos con chispa's Adolfo Lucero got control of the ball when Leon Salamon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo Bero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Lucero having to interfere. Adolfo Lucero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Bero's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Bero couldn't finish the play. Leon Salamon struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Adolfo Lucero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gonzalez Catan. German Avellaneda hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, Gonzalez Catan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Soter to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Los últimos con chispa's zone, Leon Salamon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Lucero came out of the goal and Leon Salamon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los últimos con chispa's Adolfo Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Los últimos con chispa from getting a goal against them. Leon Salamon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Adolfo Lucero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Rodrigo Bero came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gonzalez Catan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Bero couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Bero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Adolfo Lucero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Salamon in the 98th minute. When the final whistle sounded Gonzalez Catan left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Los últimos con chispa.
