Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alfredo Frederico kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Frederico in the 3rd minute of play forced Goyeneche's goalkeeper Abelardo Frisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Frisco made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Rodolfo Piarres sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Goyeneche getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Aldo Lorenz hit a great ball. When Gerardo Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goyeneche's protests and gave Gerardo Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Piarres got free with Abelardo Frisco in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Goyeneche booed when Lima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Aznaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Mauro Manny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goyeneche's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Manny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejo Ubelteso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauro Manny struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alejo Ubelteso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goyeneche. Mauro Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Alejo Ubelteso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmar Baumer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Ubelteso having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Goyeneche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Rodolfo Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lima's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Manny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Piarres notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Goyeneche's Abelardo Frisco. Abelardo Frisco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Manny to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Baumer in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejo Ubelteso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alejo Ubelteso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Manny in the 57th minute of the match. Eustacio Argi kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goyeneche's zone, Alfredo Frederico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Frisco came out of the goal and Alfredo Frederico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmelo Valerio charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Valerio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Carmelo Valerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 65 minutes, Rodolfo Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lima's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Frisco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Frederico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Delmar Baumer came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Goyeneche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmar Baumer couldn't finish the play. Alejo Ubelteso didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Rodolfo Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Frederico took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Frisco. Abelardo Frisco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Desiderio Sandaili hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Mauro Manny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Alejo Ubelteso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goyeneche's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
