Deportivo Lapala's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Carmelo Valerio scored to the left of an out of position Uriel Berdoi, making the score, 1-0. In the 9th match minute, Goyeneche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. The wind increased when Mauro Manny made the kick off in the second half. Uriel Berdoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Lorenz in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Delmar Baumer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Berdoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uriel Berdoi came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Goyeneche's Aldo Lorenz. But to his dismay, Aldo Lorenz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Camerino in the 58th minute of play forced Goyeneche's goalkeeper Abelardo Frisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Hugo Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Lapala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Abecia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Goyeneche's goalkeeper Abelardo Frisco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feliberto Salvadore. Abelardo Frisco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Hugo Abecia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Abecia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Abelardo Frisco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Carmelo Valerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Goyeneche's zone, Leonel Camerino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Frisco came out of the goal and Leonel Camerino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd match minute, Deportivo Lapala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Franco to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, Goyeneche could leave the field as winners, despite Deportivo Lapala having more of the ball for most of the match.
