El Porvenir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saguier AFC the free kick. In the 36th minute, one of El Porvenir:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Porvenir. Carlos Eate walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Jonas Uxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
