The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Damian Acuña's late challenge caught a Riachuelo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Acuña helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Riachuelo FC booed when LITTLE HORSE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Acuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Riachuelo FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Igor Restu hit a great ball. Arnoldo Ermengol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from eAntonio Antonacci, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute Edgard Montxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Ermengol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, LITTLE HORSE F.C.'s Carmelo Rami seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Carmelo Rami the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of LITTLE HORSE F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Carmelo Rami had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Edgard Montxo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Arnoldo Ermengol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafino Lordi went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Serafin Hibai hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of Riachuelo FC booed when LITTLE HORSE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Oton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bonifacio Ixidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Restu might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnoldo Ermengol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Restu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd match minute, Riachuelo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by eAntonio Antonacci to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute eAntonio Antonacci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Ermengol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. eAntonio Antonacci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Ermengol having to interfere. After the first half Riachuelo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Montxo to strike the kick off in the second half. LITTLE HORSE F.C.'s Arnoldo Ermengol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save LITTLE HORSE F.C. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, LITTLE HORSE F.C.'s Damian Acuña got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Edgard Montxo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Ermengol was relentless in the 60th minute of the game.
