The referee ignored Rueda's protests and gave Gabriel Henry a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Rueda's Alfonso Aurken ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emiliano Salomon. Emiliano Salomon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 21st minute of the match Julio Montae shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnulfo Madaleno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Alonso in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Madaleno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emiliano Salomon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rueda fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Rueda's Eriberto Jaen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
