The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ulises Lastur notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Frontera FC's Basilio Cristofor. Basilio Cristofor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Emilio Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ariel Natal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Alejandro Fix made a huge save. Venancio Bittor hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Emilio Papo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejandro Fix was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Ariel Natal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alejandro Fix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulises Lastur to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Alejo Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ariel Maura hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Garupá's Alejo Dalmu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Frontera FC's Ariel Natal got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frontera FC's Basilio Cristofor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Frontera FC from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Frontera FC's goalkeeper Basilio Cristofor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Gaueko. After a rather tough play, Garupá's Erasmo Azubeli got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 87th minute, Marcelo Gaueko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Garupá's Ulises Lastur in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Venancio Bittor fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frontera FC's protests and gave Venancio Bittor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Garupá booed when Frontera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Bittor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erasmo Azubeli kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Garupá's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
