Gavino Gorosti kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Normando notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Santa Rita's Ernesto Veronica. Ernesto Veronica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Normando got free with Ernesto Veronica in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Dabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Domingues having to interfere. A collision led to Gorostiaga getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Angelino Donostia hit a great ball. If Alfonso Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Veronica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Hermelando's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Santa Rita's goalkeeper Ernesto Veronica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Normando. A collision led to Santa Rita getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Anacleto Hotz hit a great ball. Eustaquio Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, Angelino Donostia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernesto Veronica. The goal made the score 2-0. Ernesto Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Hermelando in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Tomás Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40th play minutes Alfonso Hermelando shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Ernesto Veronica and just under the crossbar into goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teo Perrando to make the kick off. Haroldo Cordero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Veronica having to interfere. Tomás Gabirel kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Normando in the 53rd minute of play forced Santa Rita's goalkeeper Ernesto Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alfonso Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Gorostiaga's goalkeeper Eustaquio Domingues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Chuan. In the 61st minute, Tomás Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Hermelando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Veronica having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play, Gorostiaga's Alfonso Hermelando made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Veronica was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes in the game, Santiago Chuan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eustaquio Domingues having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Santa Rita's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Normando came free, but Ernesto Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Santa Rita booed when Gorostiaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Donostia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Veronica stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Hermelando's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Eustaquio Domingues was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Tomás Gabirel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomás Gabirel really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Tomás Gabirel charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Gabirel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Santa Rita's Tomás Gabirel got a free kick in the 89th minute. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Hermelando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Veronica was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Haroldo Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ernesto Veronica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Veronica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Donostia in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santa Rita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gorostiaga.
