Mussa FC's Horacio Laurentzi suffered a sore thigh after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Justo Oliverio charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Oliverio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Club Atletico Tucuman getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Justo Oliverio hit a great ball. Emilio Beila took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonzo Reyes. Gonzo Reyes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gonzalo Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Elvio Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hilario Jaizki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Sotil's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Tucuman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saverio Sotil helped the player get up and apologised. Saverio Sotil kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Gonzo Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Gamus in the 28th minute of play. Hilario Jaizki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Xacintu having to make a save. Club Atletico Tucuman's Elvio Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Jaizki in the 32nd minute of play. Elvio Xacintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Jaizki in the 34th minute of the match. Mussa FC's Daniel Palben quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elias Goizeder, made in the 36th minute of the game. If Hilario Jaizki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Emilio Beila notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Mussa FC's Gonzo Reyes. Gonzo Reyes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, Mussa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Gamus came free, but Gonzo Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Gamus made a kick off. Gonzo Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Gamus in the 52nd minute of play. Ernesto Tulio kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Everardo Gotzon fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mussa FC's protests and gave Everardo Gotzon a yellow card for diving instead. Gonzalo Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Xacintu having to interfere. Hilario Jaizki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Elvio Xacintu made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, Mussa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Sotil to maneuver through the defense. If Gonzalo Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 77 minutes, Hilario Jaizki made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletico Tucuman's Elvio Xacintu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Palben came free, but Elvio Xacintu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Aimar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Xacintu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match Nicasio Mogel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonzo Reyes skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Club Atletico Tucuman could leave the field as winners, despite Mussa FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
