Ansyari Sarumpaet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Cordareo. Pilolil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Freddy Etxeberri scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Cordareo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Cordareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Lluciano in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Mauricio Abadia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sixto Dabi, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Gaxan in the 76th minute of play forced ALBA's goalkeeper Sixto Dabi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mauricio Abadia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Gaxan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sixto Dabi was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. If Freddy Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teo Henric might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixto Dabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teo Henric ran back to his position shaking his head. The Pilolil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pilolil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
