In the 18th minute, Ibáñez's Braulio Chuan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Diego Romelio struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Prospero Enmanuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibáñez. 24 minutes into the match, Ramblón's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Chuan came free, but Prospero Enmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ibáñez booed when Ramblón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Berasko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Braulio Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibáñez's supporters rose to their feet, but Braulio Chuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prospero Enmanuel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leandro Menendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Urtsua in the 29th minute of play. When Ibáñez's Braulio Chuan in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ramblón's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ibáñez's zone, Melquiades Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Menendo came out of the goal and Melquiades Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Urtsua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Leandro Menendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Melquiades Urtsua came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ramblón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Urtsua couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ibáñez getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Carlos Bakar hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes, Ramblón's Niceto Tximitx shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leandro Menendo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ramblón reached it. Santiago Cordarrel might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Menendo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Cordarrel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute, Sergio Oriol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Braulio Chuan was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ibáñez getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Vicente Lauro hit a great ball. Prospero Enmanuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Chuan in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Ramblón booed when Ibáñez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Bakar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibáñez's Leandro Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Cordarrel in the 72nd minute of play. Prospero Enmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Romelio in the 74th minute of play. Leandro Menendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Cordarrel in the 79th minute of the match. If Melquiades Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
