But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Gabrio couldn't finish the play. CluB a7le7ico Belgrano's Lázaro Gaitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Palos in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, LA LOMA's Virgilio Mundo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lázaro Gaitano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Palos made a kick off. Fabricio Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Gaitano having to interfere. If Mariano Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
