Edgardo Nel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Naldo in the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Ciro Lucado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Remolacha Azucarera's Edgardo Nel. Edgardo Nel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Iker Nahia made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Nel. La Remolacha Azucarera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With a little luck, El Eje del Norte's Alberto Di Matteo got control of the ball when Evaristo Seber tried to sneak it across the goal line. La Remolacha Azucarera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guido Naldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 44th match minute, La Remolacha Azucarera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Jerrald to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Remolacha Azucarera. Ingmar Gunnarsson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The La Remolacha Azucarera players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Eje del Norte were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixto Niguel to strike the kick off in the second half. When Ingmar Gunnarsson came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the El Eje del Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingmar Gunnarsson couldn't finish the play. Ciro Lucado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the game, Ciro Lucado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgardo Nel. Ciro Lucado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. If Guido Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Tobias Abeijon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Eje del Norte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Abeijon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgardo Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingmar Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, La Remolacha Azucarera's Edgardo Nel got control of the ball when Guido Naldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The tension between the La Remolacha Azucarera and the El Eje del Norte players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Remolacha Azucarera's Evaristo Seber got a free kick in the 95th minute. Guido Naldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgardo Nel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Naldo ran back to his position shaking his head. El Eje del Norte's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
