Dalmacio Medina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonatan Crescencio succeeded in the game's 15th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. When Jonatan Crescencio came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Deportivo Santa Monica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Crescencio couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Afonso in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo Santa Monica's goalkeeper Dalmacio Medina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Hornos F.C's zone, Jonatan Crescencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Francis came out of the goal and Jonatan Crescencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jonatan Crescencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Santa Monica's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Crescencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Francis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmacio Medina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Bembe in the 33rd minute of the match. Deportivo Santa Monica's Dalmacio Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Afonso in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Deportivo Santa Monica booed when Los Hornos F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Rosalio didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisito Bembe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Dalmacio Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Hugo Afonso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Hornos F.C and the Deportivo Santa Monica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Jonatan Crescencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Francis was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Jonatan Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Berenguer in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Los Hornos F.C booed when Deportivo Santa Monica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Hanni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisito Bembe in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Medina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 96th minute, Jonatan Crescencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonatan Francis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Deportivo Santa Monica players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
